What year are you in: Senior

Where is your favourite place to camp?

Flagstaff as of now, although it has always been a dream of my to go camping in the Redwoods.

What are some of your hobbies/things you like to do in your free time?

I like to play the guitar, and go scuba diving. I recently saw an octopus during a dive in Puerto Peñasco, it was magnificent.

What is one interesting activity you are involved in this semester?

I am currently interning at the Phoenix Herpetological Society as the Crocodilian Intern. I get to work with more reptile species than I can list, as well as a few adorable mammals (otters, wallaby, armadillo). I am also working with birds over at Liberty Wildlife Inc. My favorite bird at the facility is Zorro, the Osprey because he chirps excitedly when you visit his enclosure (he loves to be misted with the hose).

One fun fact?

I have a cat named Bevers, and a 4 year old Sulcata tortoise named Mr. T – The fun fact is my Sulcata tortoise is the third largest species of tortoise in the world, and will easily outlive me.

Where is your favorite place to camp?

Havasupai Falls in the Grand Canyon! It is super beautiful and surrounded by several amazing waterfalls. I highly recommend it because you have to tap into your super-adventurous side and backpack around 10 miles one way! Hobbies: rock climbing, hiking, camping, wildlife photography and, more recently, mountain biking,

What is one interesting activity you are involved in this semester?

I’ve been volunteering at Liberty since June of this summer. It’s an awesome experience to work with the wildlife they have there, which usually consists of a variety of different birds. I do a lot of work on their “rehabilitation” side, which consists of enclosure maintenance, feeding, etc. More recently I have been working in the ICU, which is awesome because I actually get to handle the wildlife. This includes handling great-horned owls, kestrels, falcons, and very, very messy ducks.

Fun fact: My dog Duke has an Instagram that has almost 900 followers! His pictures are outdoorsy as he loves to tag along on our camping and hiking trips!22343664_1645092358843818_1914218927_o.jpg
